As an essential condition, objectives must be strain-free – a condition that is met by the broad spectrum of Carl Zeiss polarizing objectives. They come in various price and performance brackets, tailored precisely to your requirements: CP-Achromats and Plan-Neofluars for transmitted light, Epiplans and Epiplan-Neofluars for reflected light, special objectives for immersion (oil, water, glycerin) or for large working distances (LD objectives). In addition to these, Axioskop 40 Pol can also accept the new EC Epiplan-Neofluar Pol objectives. EC (Enhanced Contrast), the new, matchless generation of strain-free, reflected light infinity objectives from Carl Zeiss, provide images of unsurpassed color fidelity, freedom from stray light, as well as exceptionally high resolution and sharp contrast – even with weakly birefringent objects. What is important, especially in polarization, is that the Axioskop 40 Pol allows you to center five objective positions with a reference objective.

5-place reflector turret – Matchless in its class
No other polarizing microscope in this class offers you five reflector places. The P&C (Push and Click) modules can be changed quickly and easily, and without any tool. The proprietary Light Trap eliminates stray light from the reflector module and thus improves contrast.

Pol object guide – Specimen handling aids to match the job
Designed for the medium-sized rotating stage, the Pol object guide (attachable mechanical stage) saves you time. The entire area of a thin section sized 26x48 mm (Giessen slide) can be scanned without turning the specimen.

The Pol object guide with click-stop control knob (stops every 0.5 mm, travel range 30x40 mm) is designed for the large rotating stage to allow simple measurement and counting. Interchangeable specimen holders for transmitted and reflected light facilitate work where you have to change between illumination modes frequently.
